Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Your Curiosities

At Second Verse Foundry, every piece I curate and transform carries a story, blending timeless charm with modern living. From furniture to dinnerware and other vintage treasures, I give these items a second chance in my own way. Here, you’ll find answers to the questions I most commonly receive—and if not, I’d love to hear what’s on your mind.

01

Do you offer custom furniture painting?

Currently, I’m focusing on ready-for-purchase furniture pieces, each transformed with my own vision—how I imagine the piece fitting into our own home if we had just the right room and space. While custom projects aren’t part of my offerings at this time, I do offer consultations to help those interested in transforming their own pieces.

02

Do you offer workshops, courses, or consultations?

While I don’t currently offer workshops or courses, I do provide one-on-one consultations to help guide you through your furniture transformations. From choosing paint and colours to selecting finishing techniques, I can help you plan and feel confident in your approach. With hands-on experience since 2017, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned to help bring your vision to life.

03

Do you sell furniture paint and other refinishing proucts?

Not at the moment, but it’s something I’ve been dreaming about for the future! I’d love to someday open a small storefront right out of my workshop, offering furniture paint, refinishing products, and other treasures. For now, I’m happy to recommend the products I personally use and trust—ones that have earned a permanent spot in my toolbox because they deliver results.

04

Where are you located?

My home-based business is located at our home just outside of Starbuck, Manitoba, Canada. While I don’t have a storefront, I offer local pickup, meetups, and delivery for customers in Manitoba. I also ship furniture pieces and other timeless treasures I offer within Canada.

Hi There — A Little Pause, for Now

I’m in the midst of a new season of life, and with that, I find myself needing to pause ready-for-purchase pieces from May through December 2025. We’ve moved into our next home — one with good bones that we’re ready to pour our love into, as our nest shifts into something quieter and new. We’re also steadily shaping Down Home Farm — our quiet prairie escape.

When I find quieter moments, I’ll be redesigning furniture of our own and pulling together the new spaces we’re settling into — and sharing glimpses of those projects over at @secondversefoundry, along with updates on what we’re creating at @thedownhomefarm.

I’m so grateful for your interest. Fresh pieces will return for YOU in 2026— until then, my shoppe is always open, and a little inspiration can always be found in my journal.

05

How can I purchase your furniture and other treasures?

My items are available for purchase both online (credit card) and directly (eTransfer). I offer shipping within Canada, as well as local pickup, meetups, and delivery within Manitoba. Furniture pieces are shipped via private courier, while pickups (just outside Starbuck, MB) can be scheduled with one day’s notice. Meetups and deliveries are coordinated mutually, and depending on your location in Manitoba, delivery might even be free!

06

Do you take requests for specific furniture pieces?

I don’t typically hunt for specific pieces by request, but I’m always on the lookout for timeless treasures that catch my eye. If there’s something you’re hoping to find, let me know—I might just come across it in my travels and add it to my line of COMING PIECES!

07

What condition are your ready-to-purchase pieces in?

Every piece I curate is carefully selected and transformed with its unique story in mind. While I strive to ensure each item is functional and beautiful, I embrace imperfections as part of their charm. These treasures aren’t meant to be flawless—they’re meant to be loved and to carry their history forward.
